      The Arlington Professional Fire Fighters association represents the Fire Fighters employed by the Arlington Fire Department, Arlington, Texas.

       

      Our organization is a registered non-profit labor association with 100% voluntary membership. No employees are required to join the APFF. We work to keep our community safe through appropriate staffing, high quality recruiting, top level training and positive employee retention.

      We’re committed to public safety, being good stewards of public resources and giving back to the community we serve.

This new virtual training opportunity provides quality IAFF education without the hardships of travel or current restrictions. The first event is scheduled over a three-week period on Tuesdays in May from 12:30-5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).

If you qualify for it we can immediately start the treatment which is an IV infusion. This medication has great results in arresting the developments of Covid-19.

      Local 21 regrets to announce the passing of retired Fire Captain Burton Schueller. Captain Schueller started with the Saint Paul Fire Department on July 16, 1962.  He retired after 32 years of service with the Saint Paul Fire Department. Burton C. Schueller Burt passed away at the age of 86.

      Thank you to the South Trail Fire Department for hosting the Ate Balls Food Truck Fundraiser for the family of fallen EMT Roy Vidal.  Volunteers from South Trail Fire Department, staff from South Trail Fire Department, and LCEMS Local 1826 members held a raffle, handed out snow cones, and various items for kids while Ate Balls provided fabulous food.

On February 27th, 2020, he was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of occupational brain cancer, Glioblastoma.

      We may be talking about the upcoming snow, but Colorado's wildfire season continues year-round. Local members responded to a small brush fire this afternoon on the Highline Canal Trail, near Santa Fe and C-470. Crews ensured that the fire did not spread and any dangerous limbs fell safely.       A cloudy sky could not dampen the love that continues to thrive for our brother, Lieutenant Paramedic Eric Sondeen. Today, March 4th, marks the 6th anniversary of his death while working for Littleton Fire Rescue. Friends and family gathered to celebrate his life and 29 years of selfless and dedicated service to our communities. He, unfortunately, died of job-related prostate cancer.
